Bryan Oviedo has thanked Everton's supporters for welcoming him back to the playing field on Tuesday night.
The 24-year old Costa Rica international started in the Toffees' Capital One Cup third round clash with Swansea City, marking his first appearance since January.
Oviedo had been sidelined after badly breaking his leg in a FA Cup tie at Stevenage at the start of the year and was delighted to be greeted the way he was by the Everton faithful.
"That was a nice moment and I want to say thank you for that, I was out for a long time," he said.
"It's difficult, but when I came out and saw the supporters, it was amazing."
However, it wasn't the result Oviedo was looking for as Everton went down 3-0 to the Swans at the Liberty Stadium.
