All but one of 22 Championship clubs have backed the campaign to allow standing at football grounds. The Championship clubs voted overwhelmingly in favour of safe standing areas, such as rail seats of the sort used in Germany.

The Football Supporters' Federation sent a fact-finding mission to Borussia Dortmund last weekend to see the standing areas in use.

It is still uncertain however if the Championship clubs will push the Football League to formally the same position at their summer meeting next month.
