Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs says the exploits of the club this season have come down to a full team effort rather than any individual brilliance. The Red Devils need just a point at Blackburn tomorrow to clinch a record 19th English title and Giggs says the impending success has been made possible because of the fact that everybody in the United squad has pulled their weight.
"This one has been a team success," he said.
"If you ask 10 people who their player of the season has been, you would probably come up with 10 different answers.
"There was Nani for his goals and assists, Dimitar Berbatov for his goals, Javier Hernandez has been unbelievable in his first season, Nemanja Vidic was brilliant as always, Antonio Valencia came back at such a vital stage and Edwin van der Sar's consistency.
"The list goes on and on, but you would probably say there has not been one stand-out performer."
He added: "There are a number of reasons why I think we deserve it.
"We have had some great performances this year but there is also the way we dig out results when we are not playing well.
"We are not counting our chickens saying we are champions yet. But obviously, we have a great chance."
