Aston Villa goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is set to be hit with a fine for questioning the signing of Scott Carson.

Sorensen, 31, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, told the Danish media: "It seemed strange that they spent a lot of money on Carson when we've got two good keepers in the squad."

Martin O'Neill has strict rules about players talking out of turn and insisted anyone who did was "in for trouble."
