There's outrage tonight in Spain after Barcelona had a clear goal disallowed in their 1-1 draw with Valencia.
In the 29th minute Messi hit a long range shot which Neto, with a terrible fumble, allowed to get behind him and bounce over the line.
The referee and his assistant referee failed to spot the ball had gone well over the line and waved play on as the keeper scrambled the ball away from behind the goal-line. Valencia nearly scored on the following counter-attack as the Barcelona fans protested, in vain, to the officials.
Ex-ref Iturralde González told AS: "It's a clear goal, but the blame has to lie with LaLiga for not spending the money on hawk-eye. And then they tell you it's the best league in the world."
