Derby County are poised to sign out-of-favour Aston Villa striker Darren Bent on loan until the end of the season, reports BBC Radio Derby. The 30-year-old England international has just ended a loan spell at Brighton and is set to hold talks with Rams head coach Steve McClaren on Friday.
It is hoped he will make his Rams Championship debut against Ipswich Town on 10 January.
