Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi says their title hopes are in God's hands.
Otamendi insists City have no divine right to win it and claims God will decide if they go on to become top dogs or not.
"If you ask any player anywhere worldwide they'd say that's a big motivation - that they want to win something year on year.
"But I think that despite the fact we have a quality squad - it doesn't necessarily mean we're going to be champions.
"It's about taking the season game by game, not setting too many targets other than those three points each game.
"Then it's the man upstairs who will decide at the end of the day who wins at the end of the season - but it won't be for the want of working hard or trying to reach that objective."
