Everton veteran Leon Osman says England's future rests with John Stones and Ross Barkley.
Stones made a solid full debut for Roy Hodgson's side in the win over Norway, and Osman sees him and team-mate Barkley as Three Lions regulars.
The Blues midfielder, 33, said: "I've no doubt the both of them, in two or three years' time, will be regulars in the first XI.
"They are on the right path. They are doing the right things."
Osman, capped twice by Hodgson, added: "Years ago we couldn't get one player in the squad. That's a testament to how the team has developed."
