Leon Osman hopes Everton can attract more players to club during the current transfer window.
The Toffees have signed Gareth Barry permanently from Manchester City and are expecting to complete the transfer of Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic from Ferencvaros.
33-year old Osman has his testimonial against FC Porto on August 3 and admits it would be nice to have some further new faces join him.
"We try not to be distracted by speculation. But sometimes you can't help but hear the rumours about who the manager wants to bring in to the club," Osman said.
"Besic should be completed in the next few days and we're aware of the rumours about a couple more coming in. It would be good if any new arrivals could play in my testimonial."
