Australian national team coach Holger Osieck will send assistant Robbie Hooker to watch striker Richard Porta this week.
The 29-year old Dubai Club attacker will take on Baniyas, the temporary home of Sydney FC midfielder Nick Carle, with his new club in the UAE Pro-League on Thursday.
Football Australia's official website suggests that Osieck is keen to bring some new players into the Socceroos fold and former River Plate, AC Siena and Nacional striker Porta reportedly fits the mould.
