Boxing legend and co-owner of the Houston Dynamo Oscar De La Hoya is very optimistic that his team will have their own facilities shortly. Speaking to news outlet Myfoxhouston, De La Hoya said: "We are like very, very close.
"So close that we can taste it. That's how close we are. It's now minor details which is a great sign. I am very optimistic that we can have hopefully a stadium within the next two years ready to go."
The ownership of Houston Dynamo would fund the majority of the $85 million project with the City of Houston purchasing the land.
