Osasuna have joined the race for Valencia centre-forward Nikola Zigic.

The Serbia international was expected to move to Racing Santander on-loan in January, but rival interest from Olympique Marseille has stalled the deal.

Now Osasuna, after clinching an agreement for Real Zaragoza defender Sergio Fernandez, is ready to splash out to sign Zigic outright when the market reopens.
