Osasuna fullback Nacho Monreal is a target for Arsenal.
The People says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger bid £7million for the Osasuna left-back in the summer but his club were holding out for £11m.
Gunners scouts have continued to watch him and Wenger will try to push through a deal for about £8m.
Osasuna have money troubles and Monreal, 24, is their most saleable asset.
However, they would like to keep him until the end of the season and will try to strike a deal with Arsenal for next summer.
