Osasuna have beaten Aston Villa for Atletico Madrid youngster Ibrahima Balde.

The 20-year-old was loaned out to Numancia last term where he benefitted from first-team football, but has now joined Osasuna on a three-year deal.

"I am delighted to come to Osasuna," he told skysports.com.

"I want to prove myself in the Spanish league and make a name for myself. To be honest, I loved the time I spent on-loan with Numancia.

"I think what I did there impressed other teams and now I have three years to make a name for myself - maybe one day I might play in the Premier League."
