Ortiz departs Rangers for Granada

Juanma Ortiz has left Rangers to join Spanish club Granada.

The 30-year old midfielder has returned to his homeland after a failed stint at Ibrox which saw him appear 10 times for 'Gers following his arrival from Almeria in July 2011.

Ortiz, who was sent on loan back to Almeria in the second half of last season, opted not to have his contract switched to Charles Green's newco with the Rangers owner confirming the players move to La Liga.

"The club would like to wish Juanma well for the future," said Green.

"The club will not have any objection to an International Transfer Certificate being provided by the SFA and the player has conducted himself in the correct manner."
