Blackpool promotion hero Brett Ormerod says manager Ian Holloway deserves a knighthood after yesterday's victory over Cardiff City.
The journeyman striker thumped in the winner at the end of a dramatic first half in the Championship play-off final as Blackpool twice came from behind, but he claimed it was Holloway who had performed a sporting miracle.
Ormerod said: "I don't think anyone thought this was possible. The gaffer deserves knighting. He has put the belief in our lads and kept it all season.
"When I played in the FA Cup final for Southampton in 2003 we lost and it was one of the most devastating days of my life. This has turned it on its head."
