Brett Ormerod is being offered a new contract at Blackpool.

Ormerod is one of six Blackpool players being offered new deals following the Seasiders' promotion to the Premier League.

The 13-goal striker and his five team-mates did not have promotion clauses written into their deals and chairman Karl Oyston says it is only fair that they get pay rises in line with the rest of the squad.

"There were five or six players who didn't have built-in rises," said Oyston.

"Obviously we didn't want to discriminate against the ones who didn't have the rises, so we've put a very generous package to them.

"It's a reflection of our thanks for what they've achieved, on behalf of the whole club, the town and the supporters."
