In a game where Andrea Pirlo made his debut, and with the likes of Kaka and David Villa on the pitch, it was 20-year-old Cycle Larin who stole the show with a hat-trick in Orlando City's 5-3 defeat to New York City FC on Sunday.
Larin, the number one draft pick in this year's MLS Superdraft, became just the third Canadian to net a hat-trick in MLS history, en route to collecting the MLS Player of the Week award for Week 21 of the 2015 season.
The 10-time Canada international scored goals in the 50th, 61st and 84th minutes as Orlando went down to the high profile NYCFC line-up at Yankee Stadium.
Larin has now scored nine goals in 15 games for Orlando, who sit in 8th place in the MLS Eastern Conference in their inaugural season.
