Orlando City sign ex-Man Utd, West Ham defender Spector

Orlando City have completed the signing of ex-Manchester United and West Ham United defender Jonathan Spector.

Spector enjoyed a very successful career in England since joining United as a teenager back in 2003 and after over almost 15 years in the UK, the 30-year-old has made a return back to his native United States by joining MLS side Orlando.

The Lions completed the signing of Spector from English Championship club Birmingham City and club GM Niki Budalic was certainly happy to have secured the services of the experienced defender.

Budalic said in a team release: "We are thrilled to add a player of Jonathan's pedigree to our roster.

"It's no secret we have been looking for another defender.

"He is a technical and gifted defender that can play anywhere in the back line and possesses valuable experience in England's top tiers and the U.S. national team."
