Orlando City set to release new MLS logo

Orlando City SC are on the verge of releasing their brand new club logo ahead of their move into Major League Soccer next season.

The USL PRO champions, who will enter MLS as the competition's 21st team in 2015, posted on their official Twitter account that 'it's coming' while changing their old logo to a blank purple block.

It is believed that Orlando City, nicknamed the Lions, will soon unveil their new club crest with president Phil Rawlins making clear that the lion image will remain prominent.

"We'll maintain 'the Lions' as our nickname, and the lions will play a prominent part in the logo," said Rawlins.

The Lions currently sit second on the USL PRO table with 17 points from seven matches which has them equal with LA Galaxy II on goal difference but behind on goals scored.
