Orlando City have collected more than 15,000 signatures via an online petition as they continue to strive for MLS expansion.
The Lions launched the campaign at OrlandoBelievesinMLS.com earlier this month and have quickly hit their goal of 15k within two weeks.
Orlando City president Phil Rawlins said the overwhelming support was a true testament that the city is ready for a MLS franchise.
"The amount of support we received has been a true testament to the passion of our fan base here in Central Florida," said Rawlins.
"We are excited to get over the 15,000 mark and look forward to bringing a MLS franchise to Orlando in the very near future."
