Orlando City's latest arrival Brett Lashbrook says the organisation is not worried about what David Beckham is doing in his pursuit of a MLS franchise.
The former MLS official, who worked closely with Commissioner Don Garber, has joined the Orlando front office as the USL Pro League club chases a spot in North America's top flight.
With nearby Miami also attempting to gain a MLS spot with the help of former LA Galaxy star Beckham, Lashbrook insists the Lions are simply focusing on themselves.
"I can't comment on his (Beckham's) discussions with MLS or what he is pursuing or not pursuing," he told the Orlando Sentinel.
"While it's easy to look over your shoulder to hear what everyone is doing down in Miami and Atlanta and other cities, I've been clear with the ownership group that I want to focus on ourselves and put the best plan we can together."
He added: "It's a question for MLS. Our goal is to get in the league. Who else wants to join us is a good problem to have and not our focus. MLS and all leagues are based on rivalries, so we'd love to have Miami at some point. We just want to be the first one there."
