Orlando City SC announced on Monday that they are more than halfway along to completing their 'Fill The Bowl' campaign.
The MLS expansion club have confirmed that they have sold more than 30,000 tickets for their 2015 opener which takes place at the Citrus Bowl in downtown Orlando in less than a month.
Orlando City set a target of attracting 60,000 supporters to their inaugural MLS match against fellow newcomers New York City FC on March 8 and it appears as though they are closing in on that goal.
Club president Phil Rawlins said things were moving nicely towards the '#FillTheBowl' target and also indicated that interest in other home games was beginning to swell.
"Demand continues to rise for not only our season opener on March 8th, but for all our home games in the upcoming MLS season," said Rawlins.
"Our fans, partners and communities continue to demonstrate why this is the 'Soccer Capital of the South.' We are more than halfway to our goal of #FillTheBowl with a month to go before our first kick.
"Soccer fever has engulfed the region and it will erupt starting that first magical night and throughout this historic season. We hope everyone can be a part of it."
