MLS expansion franchise Orlando City SC have secured the services of Brek Shea from Premier League club Stoke City.
The 24-year old winger has signed on with the Lions but per league and club policy, the details of the deal have not been disclosed.
Shea, who has represented the USA on 27 occasions, arrives in Orlando after spending the past 21 months with Stoke except for loan spells with Birmingham City and Barnsley earlier this year.
The former FC Dallas star, who was a MLS All-Star and Best XI selection in 2011, adds plenty of depth to Orlando City's inaugural MLS squad ahead of the 2015 season.
"Brek is one of the key 'finishing touches' to a high-quality, competitive squad that Paul McDonough and Adrian Heath have assembled over the past several weeks and months," OCSC President Phil Rawlins, a former Stoke City director, told the club's official website.
"His pedigree, success in MLS and on the international stage pair well with the experience, youth and talent already present here in Orlando. We can't wait for preseason training to start so the Lions can take to the pitch and prepare for our much-anticipated debut."
Furthermore, a Stoke statement confirmed: "Stoke City can confirm that Brek Shea has left the Britannia Stadium to join American Major League Soccer side Orlando City.
"Stoke City would like to wish Brek every success in the future."
