Orlando City chief Rawlins expecting consistent capacity crowds

Orlando City president and owner Phil Rawlins is of the belief that the MLS expansion franchise will be constantly be at capacity in their new stadium.

The USL Pro champions will enter MLS play in 2015 before moving from the Citrus Bowl to a soccer-specific stadium in the summer of that year.

The Lions attracted more than 20,000 to their dramatic 7-4 title victory over the Charlotte Eagles in November and Rawlins is expecting more of the same when his club shifts to their new digs midway through 2015.

"I would expect on opening day, we'll have 20,000 people filling the stands here. We'll be at capacity," said Rawlins. "I think we'll be at capacity every week."

The 21st MLS franchise will continue on in the USL Pro league this year before entering the top flight alongside New York City FC next season.
