Orlando City and Beckham's Miami expansions still on agenda - MLS chief Garber

MLS Commissioner Don Garber says the expansion efforts of Orlando City SC and a possible team in Miami are ongoing.

The league chief held a question and answer session on Twitter while in Kansas City for the MLS All-Stars game this week and was asked how the potential expansion of the Lions was tracking.

Garber responded with: "They are one of many potential ownership groups here in KC this week.

"Impressed with incredible turnout for the club and strong ownership..."

Garber was also asked how MLS great David Beckham's involvement in a Miami franchise was panning out.

"Miami remains a potential new market. Need to ensure we have strong ownership, stadium and biz plan in place before proceeding," he replied.
