Origi welcomes challenges that come with being a Liverpool player

Divock Origi has suggested that any attacking signings made by Liverpool this summer will only be welcomed.

The Reds have already captured Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum during the current transfer window to add depth to the forward stocks that already consist of Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino, Danny Ings and Christian Benteke.

Regarding the array of quality attack-minded players at Jurgen Klopp's disposal, Belgium international Origi says it only bodes well as he strives to force his way into the German's first-team plans for 2016/17 and beyond.

"We are at a big club and that is one of the challenges of being at a big club - that is what pushes you to go higher," he told the club's official website.

"We have to push each other and support each other so we can achieve that.

"It's the reason I came to Liverpool, to have challenges. We all have qualities but we have to unite together and show we can do great things together.

"It's a good squad and we have to work."
