Origi still improving to become important Liverpool player

Liverpool striker Divock Origi claims that he is striving to become an important player for the Reds.

The Belgium international made his pre-season debut for the Reds on Sunday and managed to score a goal in the 2-0 friendly win over AC Milan.

The 21-year-old, who made 16 league appearances for the Reds last season, aims to become an even more integral part of manager Jurgen Klopp's first-team during the 2016/17 season.

"I'm very happy to be back on the pitch," he told the club's official website.

"I can feel the confidence from everyone and can improve and enjoy my game.

"Year by year I'm improving and I'm still young. The most important thing is to make steps and last year I had some good moments, so I want to learn and become more consistent to help the team even more and become an important player in the team."
