Origi getting better but he has a long way to go - Liverpool legend Aldridge

Former Liverpool star John Aldridge has been left impressed by the improvement Divock Origi has made over the past few games.

Origi seemed to struggle to adapt to life in the Premier League earlier on in the season but the striker has certainly been getting better since the appointment of Jurgen Klopp.

Aldridge has been left particularly impressed by Origi's performances in recent outings but has maintained that the Belgian international needs to improve numerous aspects of his overall game.

Aldridge wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo: "Divock Origi has done well in the last couple of games in the absence of Daniel Sturridge - but he's still got a long way to go for me.

"He seems to be getting better which is a good thing obviously and he seems to be listening to the manager.

"One of the areas he must improve on is his movement in the box, something which also applies to Benteke. But he works hard and it look like the manager likes him."
