Former Inter Milan chief Lele Oriali feels a title tilt is beyond them this season.
A run of five wins in their last six League games has seen them get up to fifth in the Serie A standings.
"It would be some achievement if Inter finish the campaign in third place," 1982 World Cup winner Oriali told Mediaset.
"But if that happens then I would then ask why it took them so long to hire Claudio Ranieri as their new Coach
"However, getting to third won't be easy. Inter's problem is that the teams ahead of them are having great seasons so far."
