Alejandro Bedoya is expected to be called up for USA's CONCACAF Gold Cup squad if Benny Feilhaber withdraws due to injury.
The New England Revolution midfielder injured his ankle in the 1-0 loss to LA Galaxy on the weekend and is looking to recover in time for the team's first match against Canada on June 7.
If he does not come up, head coach Bob Bradley is almost certain to bring in Orebro wideman Bedoya who has scored four goals in nine games in the Swedish Allsvenskan this season.
24-year old Bedoya has made seven appearances for the US team but could add to that if Feilhaber is ruled out of the competition.
