He is keen to bring in Archie Knox as a member of his management team, according to the Daily Mirror.

The pair know each other from Ince's playing days at Manchester United. Largely untested in management at this level, the 'Guv'nor' is looking to add some Premier League experience to his back room staff.

Knox was most recently employed at Bolton Wanderers, where he was caretaker manager between the spells of Sam Lee and Gary Megson.

However the 61-year-old Scotsman is currently unattached, despite having worked for over 30 years in coaching.
