Arsenal winger Theo Walcott could be back ahead of schedule after agreeing to undergo a new shoulder operation.

The Daily Mail says Walcott will be out for at least eight weeks after a Harley Street specialist advised him to have an operation on his injured right shoulder.

The England winger, who fell awkwardly in the final minute of the national team's practice session in Berlin on Tuesday evening and suffered a dislocation, will have the joint pinned.

Walcott is unlikely to play for Arsenal until mid- January at the earliest.
