Ooijer ponders Blackburn exit

Andre Ooijer has admitted he may leave Blackburn Rovers in the summer, even though he has a contract until 2009.

The Dutch defender has been linked with a couple of clubs in his homeland, namely Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven, but is trying to focus on Euro 2008 by leaving matters with his agent.

Although only extending his contract recently, he told Sportweek: "I appreciated it then but, a moment later, I was sat on the bench.

"I am not happy about that.

"I do not wish to continuously sit on the bench.

"You should never say very strongly: 'I want away'," he explained.

"I have talked with Sigi Lens, my agent, and agreed that I would concentrate on the European Championship and the rest is up to him.

"Sigi knows what I want. Back to Holland? I have not thought about it, there will be a price-tag on my head.

"Again, I'm not saying I want to go down that road.

"I am open to another club, even though it was necessary that I always said 'no' immediately."
