Andre Ooijer has declared he now wants to stay with Blackburn Rovers.

"If you are not playing, then you are never happy. That's normal," the 34-year-old told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"I'm a centre-half, but as long as you are playing, that is the most important thing. Wherever the manager puts me, he puts me, but I prefer to play at centre-half.

"But that's the way it is, so it's better to play there than on the bench."
