Onyewu signs with Italian giant AC Milan

American international Oguchi Onyewu has signed with AC Milan.

The 27-year old has moved from Belgian club Standard Liege after impressive performances for the US national team at the recent Confederations Cup.

The Italian club confirmed the move on their official website.

"AC Milan would like to inform that they have signed Oguchi Onyewu on a permanent basis from Standard Liege," the statement read.

"The USA international has signed until June 30 2012."

Onyewu has also had stints with French outfits Metz and La Louviere and English club Newcastle United.
