Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman has told his players to consign their penalty shoot-out defeat in their Carling Cup semi-final with Championship rivals Cardiff to history and look forward.
"You've got to move on to whatever's put in front of you and I think they've done that.
"What will be will be in the next four or five months in terms of trying to climb the league table. I think this cup run dampened our results in the league which has resulted in where we are in the table, but I feel they've got a lot to look forward to.
"We've come a long, long way in such a short time and I'm proud of the lads." "I just told the players that is what happens in life, never mind on a football field," said Freedman.
