Onuoha urges QPR to stay calm as survival chances dwindle

QPR defender Nedum Onuoha has urged teammates not to panic over their dwindling survival chances.

With a horrendous final run against Spurs, Chelsea, Stoke and Manchester City in their remaining games, Onuoha says it is vital the club's stars and fans stay positive.

"More than anything, I am very hopeful of staying up," Onuoha said. "Hope is the one thing that transcends fear.

"We shouldn't get too down-hearted about it because, if the season finished now, we would be safe. We just have to kick on for the next game.

"We never felt we were no-hopers. But those results beating the likes of Arsenal do help because I think some people didn't fancy us at all.

"Who knows it might have come from some of our fans as well. But when you see you can beat some of those teams you have to have belief in yourself.

"Then the fans believe and, before you know it, you can have a very exciting home ground."
