Onomah, Winks, Ball among Tottenham kids to get Juventus, Atletico Madrid chance

Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he will give plenty of chances to Tottenham Hotspur youngsters this pre-season.

The North Londoners are in Australia for their 2016 International Champions Cup fixtures against Juventus and Atletico Madrid and according to the boss, the likes of Josh Onomah, Harry Winks, Dominic Ball and Cameron Carter-Vickers, among others, will be given the opportunity to shine.

Ahead of Tuesday's meeting with Italian champions Juve, Pochettino said of his array of talented youngsters: "We have plenty of young talent.

"They have the opportunity to play in the next games. I think it is a great opportunity for them to show their quality.

"Not only the players that you mention, we have other young players that have come with us, and we will see if they have the opportunity to play the next few games.

"We are very happy with them, very happy with their start of pre-season. They behave very well. Some of them are very young - 17, 18, 19 years old.

"They are the future of the club, they are the future of the team and it is always good to see them play.

"It is a good chance for them to play against Juventus and Atletico Madrid because they are very important games.

"It is a great opportunity for them to show personality and character in this type of game.

"We trust a lot in them, maybe they need time to mature and improve, but it's a great opportunity for them to be involved in the first team and start to get a feel for being a professional player."
