Only three players are safe from the Newcastle United axe.

The Sun says Steve Harper, Nicky Butt and Steven Taylor are the only Newcastle stars to avoid the axe following relegation.

Toon chiefs are willing to sell off almost everyone else.

Sebastien Bassong, wanted by Spurs and Arsenal, will be flogged - with Toon owner Mike Ashley hoping to get £12million for the 22-year-old who cost just £500,000 last summer.

Ashley will also look to get sizeable amounts for the likes of Jonas Gutierrez, Fabricio Coloccini and Jose Enrique.
