Any return to AC Milan this month for Real Madrid midfielder Kaka will depend on Silvio Berlusconi.
Kaka has accepted a 40 per cent pay-cut and Real are willing to sell for a knockdown €12 million, but negotiations are at deadlock.
Milan president Berlusconi would prefer a free loan with the option to sign Kaka permanently in June.
But Real chiefs are baffled by Milan's reluctance to accept such a favourable deal.
