Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has no problem with Derry City keeping their 15 per cent sell-on clause in James McClean's deal.

There have been contested reports of Sunderland trying to buy the clause back from Derry for around £500,000.

O'Neill said: "To tell you the truth my own view is that, and I hope it's received okay in the higher echelons of this club, but my view is if that ever materialised then Derry City should be entitled to whatever agreement they're entitled to."
