Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill will shake up his defensive options in the summer.
Titus Bramble and Matt Kilgallon are both unlikely to be offered new contracts when their current deals run out, while Danny Rose and Kader Mangane will return to parent clubs Spurs and Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal respectively.
And that will leave O'Neill with only four defenders on the books - John O'Shea, Carlos Cuellar, Phil Bardsley and Wes Brown, says the Sunday Sun.
Full-backs will top O'Neill's shopping list after a season that has seen the Black Cats start only a handful of games with specialists on both the right and left sides of the back four.
