O'Neill delighted with Sunderland win over Norwich

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill was delighted with victory over Norwich City.

The win took the Black Cats into eighth place in the Barclays Premier League table, but O'Neill was more interested in their points tally, which has now reached 30, 19 more than the club had when he arrived in December.

He said: "Of course, I am very, very pleased. I am more concerned, seriously, with the points on the board.

"We have got a type of a landmark, to get 30, and I am very conscious about saying that because we might not move again.

"But the 30 points on the board are very important for us. The eighth position, because the thing is so concertina-ed - you can go from eighth to maybe 13th - but overall, it's the points on the board for us."
