Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill insists big signing Curtis Davies will soon break into the first team.
The former West Brom skipper has been sidelined for all but one outing in the Carling Cup in his nine weeks at the club.
"He is doing very well," O'Neill told the Birmingham Mail. "In the last couple of reserve games he has done excellently, I just didn't change the back four at Bolton.
"But not only will his time come, I expect that when it does come he will grab it in a big way and make me have to make some big decisions."
