Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill insists new signings James Milner and Carlos Cuellar are a big part of his plans this season.

He said: "In normal circumstances James would have walked straight into the side and he will be a massive player for the football club.

"I haven't signed him just to sit around. It's the same with Carlos- two real top quality players, and they will make their mark at this football club probably sooner rather than later.

"As an overall group I think they want to try and succeed and I think that's great."
