Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill hopes his young players won't freeze in tomorrow's derby with Birmingham City.

He said: "Is it an advantage having local players? I don't know. I am pleased we've got some local lads playing in the game. It is very encouraging from our viewpoint. Whether that stands them in great stead or not, I don't know.

"I am hoping those who have played before, who know what the derby is about, will be able to draw on that experience.

"For some of the younger boys, it could be overwhelming but on the other hand they could forget all the pressures and just go out and play their normal game.

"If they can play remotely like their normal game, like Agbonlahor generally does, that would be brilliant. It should have some atmosphere. I've watched the games on television before and they are pretty meaty affairs."
