Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is happy to have Patrik Berger back in training.

O'Neill told Villa's website: "Berger - he is back and doing some training. The reserve game was called off a late notice, and he would have been available.

"It was about this time last year where he came into the picture. He played a big part in proceedings.

"Almost from the start of the season, from the day before we played Liverpool, he was definitely in contention for maybe even starting in the team. It has been a very frustrating time for him, obviously."
