Martin O'Neill has made two backroom appointments since signing with Sunderland.
Steve Walford joins the club as first team coach, while Seamus McDonagh arrives as first-team goalkeeping coach.
Walford, 53, has worked alongside O'Neill since his Wycombe days, experiencing great success during appointments including spells at Celtic and most recently Aston Villa.
McDonagh, 59, who had a brief loan spell with Sunderland as a player, joins from Hull City and has also previously worked with O'Neill.
