Gary O'Neil is happy with his decision to quit Portsmouth for Middlesbrough in the summer.

"Obviously I still have a lot of friends down there and I want them to go on and win the cup, but for me it was good to get a change and get some new surroundings," he told Boro's website.

"I've enjoyed my first season."
